Package Summary
Paramiko, by Robey Pointer, is a pure-Python library for making SSH2 connections (client or server). It's main use within ROS is to support remote launching for roslaunch.
In ROS Box Turtle, Paramiko 1.7.5 was included as ROS Box Turtle. In later distributions, paramiko is installed using rosdep and OS package managers.

paramiko was included as a package in ROS Box Turtle to support roslaunch. In later ROS distributions, it has been covered to a system dependency installed via rosdep.
