ROS packages for Velodyne high definition 3D LIDARs.
Road Map
Velodyne stack versions 0.2 and 0.3 were experimental implementations used internally at the University of Texas, Austin. Those older interfaces in velodyne_common and velodyne_pcl are deprecated. Those packages have been moved out of the velodyne stack, and are no longer maintained.
Version 1.0 was reimplemented for wider use. It provides:
New message formats (see: velodyne_msgs).
New device driver (see: velodyne_driver).
New calibration and point cloud conversions (see: velodyne_pointcloud).
